I forgot my login?
Please contact us and we will re-send your login.
 
I'm moving location, can I change this on my page?
Yes. You may change location at any time in your 'my account' page - please select Continent, Country and Nearest City.
 
My location isn't in the database!
Your location is required for the database. If you require a location that isn’t in the database we will add it for you. Please contact us.
You do not have to ‘live’ in the location, you may find it more appropriate to be listed in the location that you exhibit regularly in.
E.g. You live upstate but exhibit in New York, NY.
If you do not choose a location you will not appear in the database.
 
I can't find my page in the database?
You may have de-selected your location. Please check that you have selected a location including Continent, Country and City.
 
I’ve changed my name / Gallery name?
No problem. You can enter your new details in the 'my account' page.
If your re-title.com url / web address requires changing, you will need to contact us.
 
My practice has changed, can I change my genre?
Yes. You can do this in your 'my account' page.
 
I live and work in more than one place / I have a gallery space in more than one location?
Each re-title.com page is searchable using location, genre and name. If you have more than one location we can add a second or third page. Please contact us with your request.
 
My practice is multi-disciplinary and doesn’t fit in any of the genres?
Please select one genre which best describes your practice. You may change this at any time. If you would like more than one genre listing, then we can add a second or third separate listing. Please contact us with your request.
 
I want to change to another Template?
Artists have a choice of 3 templates to use. You cannot change templates yourself.
If you would like to change templates please contact us with your request.
 
My membership has expired, I would like to renew and keep the original page?
No problem. On expiration of your membership, the page is disabled and hidden. We do not immediately delete your account on expiration, and so can re-activate your account for you. Please contact us with your request.
 
I have been contacted via the contact button on re-title.com and the email appears to be of a suspicious/spam/ inflammatory/fraudulent nature?
Please be aware that messages sent to you via the contact button on your re-title.com page are not filtered or monitored by us in any way, and that you may receive unwanted email. This is a problem with email in general and we advise caution when answering any unsolicited email. Your email address is protected and your address is exposed only once you reply.
If you have received an email that you believe may be fraudulent it is important that you forward it to us so that we may verify it for you. If the email is of a fraudulent nature, others will also have received it.
If we know that a fraudulent campaign is circulating we can inform the membership and ensure that no-one has any doubts.
 
I’m worried about ID theft and I’m not sure about what contact details to add to my page?
It is not a requirement to include your address on your page - only Continent, Country, City and your email address. You may include a studio or gallery address, but we do not recommend that you add your home address. Your email address is hidden from view and we advise that you do not add your email address to the text area of your page.
 
How can I get a better search engine ranking?
One of the good things about re-title.com is the great search engine ranking. Once you have joined it will take a few weeks to develop. The longer that you stay on re-title.com - the stronger you ranking will become.
It is important to add as much information as possible as this will be read by the search engines.
We recommend that you use the third person to describe yourself, add a biography, and add web-links both to other websites and from other websites to your re-title.com page.
 
I've added some links but they don't show up on the page?
When adding links please also include a 'name' for the hyperlink.
E.g. www.mywebsite.com    My Website
Please note that you do not include http://
 
Where do I load a 'thumbnail' or search image?
The thumbnail, search image or icon is uploaded from the 'my account' page.
 
I have made a thumbnail search image, but I can't upload it / it will not upload?
Please make sure that your image is exactly 70 x 70 pixels in size and saved as .jpeg or .gif. If using Photoshop save the file using ‘Save for Web’.
 
Can I change my thumbnail?
Yes. Make a new file and browse to upload it from the 'my account' area.
 
Can I use animated Gif?
Yes, but it must be within the sizes specified.
 
How do I add images to my page?
Each image is size specific in pixels, so first take a look at the Editing template and make a note of the image sizes. Do not worry too much about the file size at this stage.
Select an image that is in similar proportion to the image space and resize or resample it using your image editing software so that it will fit within the space. If it is smaller it will be placed bottom left of the frame. If necessary crop your image.
Now save your new image as a jpeg or gif with a new name. If using photoshop - use the ‘Save for Web’ function.
Try uploading your image - select image number and then Browse to the image on your computer. Include your image Title or description if required.
You may need to reduce the file size of the image - resave the image and increase the file compression to reduce the file size. If using photoshop use the ‘Save for Web’ function.
Please also refer to the Help with image re-sizing in the editing template.
 
My Image will not upload.
Check that the image is the correct size in pixels and is not too large in file size.
Check that the image format is RGB and NOT CMYK.
If using an Apple Mackintosh:
In Photoshop, in preferences switch OFF 'image preview' which creates a larger file than is necessary.
In Photoshop, in preferences switch ON 'Append File Extension' which adds the extension .jpeg to the file name ensuring that our server can 'read' your image.

Unfortunately we cannot support the AOL Browser, or Internet Explorer for Macintosh. Please use either Internet Explorer (PC), Safari (Apple), Netscape (PC or Apple) or Firefox (PC or Apple).

I have deleted an old image and tried to upload a new image, but the old image still shows?
Empty the Browser’s Cache and /or refresh the page. The cache or temporary internet files can be emptied or deleted in the main browser menu, in preferences or in tools.
In the editing template click the ‘dot’ next to the image number - this may refresh the preview image.
Ensure that your browser is set to accept cookies from re-title.com.
If necessary re-start your computer.
 
I want to work on my page but I don’t want to make it live yet?
No problem. You may change images and text in the portfolio page without publishing the changes and /or without compromising the existing page. In the editing template, upload your information and click save, and then close the window. (Do not click Make Live.) You may view the changes that you have made in the editing template only. To publish your changes click the Make Live button.
How do I make my page 'live'?
After uploading your images and text and clicking ‘Save’, select ‘Start & Make Live’ and then finally ‘Make Live’ to publish the changes.
 
I can't see where you make the changes 'live'
The ‘Make Live’ button is in the centre of the editing your template window. After finishing editing, select ‘Start & Make Live’ and then the Make Live button is in the centre. If you do not see this button please check that you are using either Internet Explorer (PC), Safari (Apple), or Firefox (PC or Apple).
 
I edited my template and clicked 'Make Live', but I don't see any changes?
Please refresh the page in your browser. You may need to empty the browser cache / delete temporary internet files. Find instructions to do this in Preferences, Tools or Internet Options. If necessary re-start the computer.
 
How do I add a 2nd Page?
Please login and go to the 'my account' page and follow the link at the bottom of the page.
 
My second Page does not show up?
You may need to click the ‘Make Live’ button a few times before the 2nd page is generated.
 
What’s the easiest way to add text in the template?
We recommend that you create your text in a document file and then copy and paste it into the editing area. You will have a copy of your information which you can refer back to if you need to re-edit.
 
Where can I add image descriptions?
Image descriptions are added by selecting the image and inserting the description below the 'browse for image'. When adding the description to an image already loaded you may get an error message but please click OK and continue.
 
I can’t fit all my text in!
There is limited space in the portfolio page text areas, and so you may need to edit your text down to suit, but you may add extensive passages of text in the Biography page.
 
How can I bold/ Italic my text?
You may use simple HTML language in the editing area:
E.g. Bold the text by adding <b>the text</b>
E.g. Italic the text by adding <i>the text</i>
 
How can I add hyperlinks within the text ?
You may use simple html language in the editing area for adding links:
E.g. Link to my website by adding <a href="http://www.mywebsite.com/">my website</a>
 
I added my Biography/CV/resume, saved it, but it doesn't show on the page?
When adding / editing your biography, click 'Save' at the bottom and then scroll back to the top and click ‘Show CV on re-title.com’ to publish the changes.
 
Can I change information on my Biography/CV/Resume?
Yes. Make your changes. Click 'Save' at the bottom and 'Show CV on re-title.com' at the top to Make the changes live.
 
I am a listed artist, how do I list an exhibition on re-title.com?
To list an exhibition you are showing in on re-title.com, please send us an email with all the details. 
Please include image, press release, dates, gallery web and email addresses.
Please entitle your mail REQUEST EXHIBITION.
Please send to us approx 10 days before the opening.
