Galerie la Ferronnerie opened its doors in 1988. Brigitte Négrier -director of the galerie- primary aim is to start working with artists in an early stage in their professional development, then, to follow and expand their carreers both in France and abroad. Almost all artists represented started their career at the gallery. It focuses on French, european and south american artists, working with painting, drawing, installation, video, photography.
Galerie la Ferronnerie is located in the trendy Oberkampf area, home to many contemporary artists. Oberkampf is renowned for hot spots, restaurants, bars, music clubs such as Café-charbons, Nouveau Casino, Le Villaret, Le Châteaubriand. Galerie La Ferronnerie is minutes from Le Marais other contemporary galleries, as well as prestigious cultural places such as The Centre Pompidou, The Musée Picasso...
