Galerie Christian Lethert

Galerie Christian Lethert was founded in August 2006 by Christian Lethert. At average intervals of five to eight weeks, the gallery presents on 120 m² interesting single and group exibitions, combined with a supporting program including lectures and controversy. 

Galerie Christian Lethert is located in the center of Cologne in the famous belgian quarter, close to Friesenplatz with a direct connection to the public transport. The Artists represented in the gallery are multi-faceted concerned on working methods and the broad spectrum between artists being established on an international level and young newcomers.

Christian Lethert (born in 1981) assisted from 1997 till 2006 Galerie Klein in Bad Münstereifel (formerly in Bonn) and he coached exhibitions in the gallery and presentations on national and foreign art fairs. In the meantime, Christian Lethert completed his degree in spring 2006 in business administration and wrote his diploma thesis about business start-up in art market. Within the framework of the studies he also assisted Griffin Contemporary in Los Angeles where he guest-curated exhibitions by Joseph Beuys and Richard Tuttle. Since May 2007 Christian Lethert is on the board of directors of the german gallery alliance.
