„Private View" mit Arbeiten von Ivan Grubanov, Anton Henning, Leiko Ikemura, Callum Innes, York der Knoefel, Kjell Erik Killi Olsen und Takehito Koganezawa ist die erste Gruppenausstellung, die die Loock Galerie zeigt. Der Titel verweist auf eine imaginäre Privatsammlung oder das Hinterzimmer einer Galerie. Es ist meine persönliche Auswahl von Gemälden und Zeichnungen, die dem grauen Berliner Winter etwas entgegensetzen und einen spannenden Dialog der abstrahierten Bildwelten der Künstler ergeben.
Im 2. Raum der Galerie zeigen wir zwei Bilder von Knoefel, dessen Tod uns kurz vor Weihnachten überrascht hat. 1998 hat Knoefel eine Ausstellung in der Wohnmaschine mit "Hommage to Painting" betitelt. Dieser Raum ist eine Hommage to Knoefel. Mein Dank gilt hier der Kuttner Siebert Galerie.

“Private View”, featuring works by Ivan Grubanov, Anton Henning, Leiko Ikemura, Callum Innes, York der Knoefel, Kjell Erik Killi Olsen and Takehito Koganezawa, is the first group show at the Loock Galerie. The exhibition title is a reference to an imaginary collection or the back room of a gallery. It is my personal selection of paintings and drawings that aims to contrast the gray Berlin winter and creates an exciting dialogue of abstraction.
In the 2nd room we are showing two paintings by Knoefel, who suddenly passed away before Christmas. In 1998 Knoefel entitled an exhibition at the Wohnmaschine with “Hommage to Painting”. This room is a hommage to Knoefel. I would like to thank the Kuttner Siebert Gallery for the support of this project.
