In recent years contemporary art has seen a resurgence of the narrative urge with artists creating scenarios, characters or scenes in which the viewer is encouraged to construct their own reading.
This exhibition comprises a range of work in different media by artists including Zarina Bhimji, Peter Callensen, Susan Hiller, Simon Le Ruez and Shizuka Yokomizo as well as specially commissioned pieces by artists such as Sophie Lascelles. Each captivating work draws the viewer in but never quite reveals the hidden narrative within.
