OC-EO ART PRESENT EXHIBITION OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS FROM VIETNAM FOR HE Mr. TRAN QUANG HOAN AMBASSADOR OF THE S.R. OF VIETNAM ASIA HOUSE TUESDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER 6PM-9PM

London, 15th August 2008 –
Peter Quintana and the Partners of Oc-Eo Art, a fine art company specialising in contemporary and modern Asian art, announced today that they will present an exhibition of modern and contemporary paintings from Vietnam at a reception for HE Mr. Tran Quang Hoan Ambassador of S.R. of Vietnam and Mrs Le Thu Son, to commemorate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United Kingdom and the 63rd National Day of Vietnam.

Entitled ‘Vietnam, the Hidden Charm’, the exhibition will comprise part of Mr Quintana’s private collection as well as several pieces that will be offered for sale.

Peter Quintana, founder of Oc-Eo Art said ‘It is a great honour for Oc-Eo Art to be asked by Ambassador Tran Quang Hoan to present this exhibition. A yearning for individual freedom, self-affirmation and personal discovery has characterised Vietnamese painting since ‘Doi Moi’ (renovation), and the results are graceful, serene, and often visually beautiful. Vietnamese painting is increasingly sought after, and we believe that not only is it deserving of greater recognition, but that it is some of the best value fine art to be collected anywhere in the world.’

The reception, which is strictly by invitation only, and exhibition will be held in the Fine Rooms at Asia House, 63 New Cavendish Street, London W1, from 6pm-9pm, with speeches at 6.45pm.

Paintings can be seen in the Fine Rooms at Asia House during the day on the 9th, an on the 10th, morning only.
