In April, Under the Influence kicked off with a spirited tribute to David Bowie, featuring dozens of musicians and performers who channeled the legend from his Ziggy Stardust days through to the present. On First Friday, May 2, local artists will get under the influence of another legend, Lou Reed, for an evening that will include special guest appearances by Andy Warhol, Edie Sedgwick, Nico and Candy Darling.
