Artists in this exhibition: Eric Yahnker

Hi,

This is Jack the Pelican. Eric Yahnker is my favorite LA artist. He's also my favorite artist.

He's a lot of people's favorite (sometimes even his own). And rightly so—he's young and hasn't shown much, but clearly he is artist of outstanding vision.

He's hilarious. If you like humor, you will like his work.

This is his most ambitious show to date, and it's the biggest show we've done in years of the work of a single artist.

Eric finds 'little cracks,' as he says, "in the status quo." Each of his pieces is a fully realized joke. But one liners they are not. Instead, they resonate with a powerfully good vibe.

He's titled it, "Piano Man (for Guitar)" after Billy Joel's classic. (Pretty funny, if you think about it.) The title work invites you to play. So we are especially hopeful this will bring out the guitar player in you.

So please join us in celebration for the opening.

Cheers,

Don
