New York based painter Jay Davis comes to Chicago for his first solo exhibition at Bucket Rider Gallery with new paintings on vinyl. Davis currently exhibits with Mary Boone in New York and Shoshanna Wayne in Santa Monica, CA. He has an upcoming solo exhibition at Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, Paris in the fall of 2008.

In Gallery two, New York based photographer Michael Schmelling has his second solo exhibition with Bucket Rider Gallery entitled 'Local Histories, 2007'. The show presents itself as an oblique autobiography for 2007, a series of photographs, objects and writings from the past year.
