In his first solo-show in an Asian country, Radek Szlaga breaks with dogmas and conventions of the presentation of the image. The young Polish artist presents the result of the struggle between images and the symbols, seeking to purify the world of figures in the belief of eternity. The conflict over the nature and use of icons is actually an expression of a personal philosophy, and he's trying to use image clashes to reach the absolute reality.
He adopts the practice in the destruction of images within his painting. Furthermore the iconoclastic idea is realized in the installation of the paintings. In the meanwhile exposing the paintings in a white space, the audience also gets access to destructed images of the paintings through projections of slide show on the wall.
