Invisible City: Wanchai; Pinhole photos, a set of 3

Depicted in this series is Wanchai, an interesting area in urban Hong Kong where the old is intertwined with the new. Throwing Wanchai's image beyond recognition and analysis, the combined use of the simplest pinhole camera made from used metal container in cylinder form and multiple exposure in this series of work serves as a means to comment on urban development in Hong Kong.
In Search of Differences
Dice

Differences can go unnoticed in this world that puts so much emphasis on standardization. The 69 dice dogs look exactly the same, but they are smart creatures that hide their differences so well.

Audiences were invited to find out how some of them are different. Only those who pay undivided attention would see the differences.

The monotonous process in assembling the dice dogs is also an act of mimicking the tedious processes in achieving standardization and sameness.

Familiar City
Lambda Prints, Light Boxes

Ordinary and often-visited, yet often forgotton locations can be seen in different lights. The work is an attempt to explore again these locations in urban Hong Kong. A plastic toy, as an object foreign to these locations, was placed when each shot was taken to add a different perspective of looking at something ordinary and familiar.
