Stephen Harwood is 35 years old, and lives and works in Hackney.
Prior to painting about childhood memory Stephen was a celebrated painter of the psychogeography of the East End of London throughout the 1990's, championed by Peter Ackroyd and Dan Farson.
Stephen then began painting East London's teenage inhabitants, a development that lead him to consider his own life and origins.
