These images are from my "La Mauresque" series, a sequence of paintings on canvas and mixed media works on silk. The work explores absence and emptiness and refers to Moorish architecture and folklore.

Much of my work is an attempt to create physical objects to represent intangible things. I usually begin with a theme and create work around it; sometimes using traditional ‘art’ materials, often not.
My work is often achromatic and alludes to sepia photographs, cultural memories and shrines to moments past.
I have made several installations with themes including flight, gossiping and loss.
