My practice encapsulates a folk-like aesthetic and a sense of belonging with contemporary popular culture. Yet it is an alien and unfamiliar world, reminiscent of things like May pole dancers, and the colour and costumes of old British traditions.

I use hand-made techniques while also retaining a slick pop aesthetic. I also combine feminine and masculine attributes within my work. Fairytales, folklore, classical literature and mythology fuel my practice. My work emits a feel-good factor with the core elements of a B-movie. The physicality that film doesn't have is brought to life by coupling with sculptural objects. Film and sculpture share and reciprocate, creating something that has moved beyond the object as a sculptural form.
