I spent a long time away from drips in my work and have recently begun to incorporate them again in works such as Erlend and Claire.

I used to use a strip of dripped paint against unpainted canvas to create the sort of 'drag' seen in the sky when it's raining.
With my newer work I'm thinking of the drips more in terms of spontaneity and the aesthetic effect they create.
