Square Mile East

These new drawings have been made in real time, while walking within and around the City of London Square Mile. Entering the city with the commuters on eight consecutive days, my employment was to walk and note each step taken with a pencil mark. There fore drawing were I was and not what I was looking at. As the drawings built up daily, there seemed to be a stripping away of the past and I became aware of the landscape underneath the centuries of man made pathways.
