Originally from Torquay in Devon, Andy Harper is now based in St. Just, Cornwall and London. He teaches on the MFA programme at Goldsmiths College and co-founded Assembly a live/work space based in a converted Chapel in St. Just, Cornwall

Projects
Since1996 Co-founded NotCut, with the artists Ori Gersht and Robert Davies, running a studio complex in South London. NotCut, also curated ‘Lightness & Weight’ at the Custard Factory in Birmingham and ‘Turf Accountants’ at the Economist Plaza, London.

2003-07 A member of the organising committee for Braziers International Artist’s Workshop. An artist–run initiative that provides opportunities for exchange and dialogue between UK and overseas artists at an annual workshop in Oxfordshire.

Since 2006 Assembly is a residency programme that was founded in the Summer of 2006 by Abigail Reynolds and Andy Harper. Based in an old Wesleyan chapel in St. Just, Cornwall the space will provide studio space and accommodation for 5/6 artists. The residencies and events will be trans-disciplinary.
