Untitled (Trombone & Trumpet), 2006

With these works I was interested in how the manipulation of objects could question the relationship between their form and function.

With 'Untitled (24 walking sticks)' the function of the walking stick itself did not interest me, it was the fact that when placed together the objects formed one continuous piece of bent wood.
'Untitled (Trombone & Trumpet)' was created for its fluidity and reveals the function of the object in relation to the material that passes through it.

'Table Heater with Jonty Lees' & 'Its hard to turn when you can't see where your going' were both commissioned by Angel Row Gallery. 'Table Heater with Jonty Lees' manipulates a table heater by attaching a motor so that it continuously rotates, 'Its hard to turn when you can't see where your going' tests the boundaries of the record player to the limit of one more vinyl and the turntable wouldn't turn.

'Sound Carisma' re-appropriates a meteor from the living room of a vinyl record sleeve and places it upon a computer keyboard.
