Visual media is diverse, and like life, it is complex and prone to instability. I work in different media to mirror this sense of instability or dislocation. In installation, I want to create, viscerally, a sense of confusion.
People cope with the circumstances of cultural dislocation differently. We seek escape through pleasure, or become resigned, or, at times, we probe cultural networks for links to possibilities of relating meaningfully with our environment and the living things around us. My work explores various languages that attempt to connect with meaning. The work pursues this conceptual end by: quantifying fact based concepts, creating interactive processes, and creating metaphorical fantasies.

To the right, a studio space full of paintings turned on sides and heads. Sensory information is processed differently in different conditions and in different environments. This truth is reflected in the work here. The state of human continuity is represented iconically, frozen in artificial, timeless space. The true nature of reality exists in time. Life, including the production of art artifacts, is subject to changes. Changes in the present automatically apply to history, in the sense of cultural revolution and to the future in that changes determine future outcomes. The changes are preeminent.
