Anti-clockwise - sound work 2007

Anti-clockwise – sound-work.

Duration of audio recording 7 minutes.
To be played as a repetitive loop for duration of work.

Set-up: Minimac, running logic express, 8 channel fire wire sound box, 8 speakers, cables.

The speakers are set up around a centrally located area. This would preferably be in a room below ground-level. The recorded audio travels around the room via the speakers, at a similar speed to the water turning, as it goes down the plug-hole.

The work plays with both perceptions of place and location, using the commonly believed myth of water turning differently depending on which side of the equator you stand.
