Ink drawings on sheet acetate, 2009.

Alice's drawings in ink explore, reference and suggest diverse sources and interests: anatomy, animal and human form, astronomy, cartoons and animated gestural form, cellular images under scientific examination or dissections, gesture in drawing that borders on the obsessive, calligraphy, organic and inorganic matter, landscape, ecological networks and architectural structures.

Currently projects of Alice's include producing several groups on drawings in ink on clear plastic, acetate or mylar materials.

Alice has recently focused on making work in ink using brush painting techniques on sheet acetate. She ‘floats’ these works in their frames or in installation to allow the open networks of lines to cast shadows, becoming almost airborne on their transparent support.

Most recently Alice’s work was exhibited at the American University Museum‘s Katzen Art Center in Washington, DC. Her ink drawing was selected for Cream: Washington Project for the Arts Gala Exhibition.
