After being raised poor by a single mother in rural West Virginia I received a scholarship to attend The Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, OH where I graduated Cum Laude in 1997.

Subsequently I was awarded a small scholarship to attend The School of Visual Arts MFA Fine Art program in New York City. At the age of 23 I graduated Magna Cum Laude.

I have exhibited my work, most notably, at PPOW Gallery and Fuse Gallery in New York and Bucket Rider Gallery in Chicago. My performance work has been featured at The Knitting Factory New York and The Judson Church. I have lectured at The Jersey City Museum and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My work has been written about in The San Diego Union Tribune, NYArts Magazine, The New York Sun, and The Columbus Alive.

I have taught drawing, painting, 2D and 3D design in the Visual Communications Department of The Katherine Gibbs School where I was a portfolio advisor, curator of student work for the school's gallery, and a member of the curriculum development commitee.

Formerly a contributing writer for NYArts Magazine, I am now editor and contributing writer for crowndozen.com. Takashi Murakami, Mike Kelley, DEVO's Mark Mothersbaugh, and Ian MacKaye of Fugazi are but a few of the artists I have had the privilege of working with in the world of wordcraft.

I currently live in Manhattan and work as a freelance art handler. I am the head preparator at PPOW Gallery and The Drawing Center, and count many other museums and galleries among my clients.
