Born in Leipzig in 1969, Kühn completed her master’s of art degree in painting and graphic art at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. In the 1990s she had fellowships that allowed her to live in New York and Cambridge, Massachussetts where she had a Radcliffe Fellowship. Kühn’s work has recently been exhibited at the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden, Germany and the Eastinternational exhibition at the Norwich School of Art and Design in Norwich, England. In September her work will be the subject of a solo exhibition at the Kunstverein Frieburg in Germany which will travel to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver in 2008. Hatje Cantz will publish a hardcover monograph on Kuhn’s work in September.
