Photography is an abstract reflection of what appears real. It embodies the promises of documenting what seems valid, true, and timeless, as well as of capturing a momentum that feels memorable. It makes us believe that it enables us to freeze glimpses underneath the surfaces of life and that it can capture more than our memories could possibly hold. It comes close to and yet, it is defined by our imagination.

Maybe it is because its nature is rooted in realism that to me, this artistic medium seems to be one of the perfect agents to express what remains abstract: every day emotions, daydreams, fears, and ambitions - in other words quintessential trivia.
