A cache of transparencies retrieved from a Jersey dumpster forms the basis for the slide show installation, Security. The images, which depict guards acting out a number of routine safety and surveillance checks, were originally created using actors in a photo studio in New York circa 1980. The aged slides, which have taken on a magenta cast (the "red shift" of emulsion deterioration), have been edited and re-sequenced into a disjointed narrative that plays upon present day concerns with safety and security. A soundtrack alternately synchronizes and misregisters with the slide narrative.
