FashionVictim, 2007
I often use fashion for direction and inspiration as I've always found clothes design a satisfying blend of performance (stance and representation), sculpture (shape and material) and even painting (colour and composition).
I sometimes make work engaged purely by fashion and its frivolous nature. Some of this work has been commissioned by GQstyle magazine.
On the other hand, in my Fashion&War series, war imagery predominates. These images touch upon issues of power and desire.
